Available on Pro and above
installHUB checks every booked visit against its job checklist, warns you when you book it and again the working day before if it isn’t ready, so crews only travel to jobs they can actually do.
Which items a visit depends on
A survey visit leads to Surveyed, an install visit to Installed and a service visit to Completed. A visit is ready when every blocking item required before that status is done, still in date at the end of the visit, and not waiting on your review of a contractor’s work. Items that only warn never stop a visit.
First, set your working hours
Readiness runs on your Company Working Hours and Company Unavailability. Until you set your hours, every day counts as a working day from midnight to midnight, and a visit is never cancelled automatically. Job Checklists & Gates shows a Set your working hours warning until you do.
When you book a visit
- An item isn’t done yet: you see Check before booking with the items listed. It’s a warning only, so you can book.
- An item is done but runs out before the visit ends: you see This visit is blocked, with the item’s valid-until date. Nearest available slot offers the first slot that ends before the item runs out, or says there isn’t one in the next 14 days. To keep your time, give a reason and click Override and book. The reason goes in the job’s notes and history.
When you bulk schedule or accept several suggested bookings, only the second case stops you: the confirm step says how many visits are blocked and asks for one reason to book them all.
The working day before: Not ready
From the start of your working hours on the last working day before a visit (Friday for a Monday visit, skipping company closures), installHUB checks each visit. If one isn’t ready:
- It shows a red Not ready badge on the scheduler and the job’s Appointments panel, next to the customer’s Confirmed or Unconfirmed pill.
- A red job alert lists what has to be cleared.
- The field operative gets a push notification, and their reminder email lists what’s outstanding.
- If you’ve chosen to stop visits starting on the mobile app, the customer’s day-before reminder is held back.
As soon as the visit is ready, because an item is ticked, accepted, overridden or no longer applies, the badge and alert clear and any held reminder goes out.
At the end of that working day
With the default mobile setting, nothing happens: the visit stays booked and flagged, and the field operative is warned before they start it.
If you’ve chosen to stop visits starting on the mobile app, and your working hours are set, a flagged visit still not ready at the end of the working day before is cancelled. The job goes back to its scheduling stage and a red alert asks you to rebook. The customer isn’t messaged, so call them to agree a new date.
To keep the visit, override the item before the cut-off. A visit flagged after the cut-off has passed is never cancelled automatically; clear the items or rebook it yourself.
