For field operatives: signing in, keeping your details up to date, and tools that save time on site.
Sign in
On the sign-in screen, choose one of:
- Sign in with email & password. Forgot it? Tap Forgot password?, enter your email and tap Send Instructions.
- Sign in with phone number. You’ll get a code by text.
- Sign in with magic link. Enter your email and tap Send magic link, then tap the link in the email.
You can be signed in on one phone at a time. On a new phone you’ll see Already Logged In; tap Continue to sign the other one out, once its work has been sent.
Change your email or phone number
Open the menu, then Account Settings.
- Email: enter the new address, tap Update Email, then tap the link in the verification email we send to it.
- Phone Number: enter the new number and tap Send Verification Code. Type the 5-digit code from the text within 10 minutes. No code? Tap Resend code after a minute.
Signature templates
Save your signature once and reuse it on forms.
- In Account Settings > Signature, tap Add Template, give it a name and sign.
- Or, when signing a form, tap Save as Template.
- On a signature question, tap the list icon to pick a saved signature.
Templates are kept on your phone, so you’ll need to add them again after signing out or changing phone.
Scan serial numbers
Where a form question has scan buttons:
- Text scanner: take a photo of the label, then tap Extract Serial Number.
- Barcode scanner: point the camera at the barcode and hold it in the frame. Use Scan Again if it’s not read.
The number goes straight into the answer.
Call, text, email and get directions
- On a customer’s or job’s details, tap the email, phone number or address to email, call or get directions in your maps app.
- Job cards in the job list have map and call buttons.
- Your day’s appointments have call and message buttons.
Search and help
- Tap the search icon at the top to find jobs on your phone by customer or company name.
- FAQs in the menu answers common questions and works without signal.
- The Knowledge Base on the dashboard has manufacturer data sheets, guides and videos. Download a document to read it offline.
Notifications
Allow notifications when asked (or later in your phone’s settings). Tap the bell to see them: tap one to open its job or appointment, swipe to dismiss, or tap Clear All.
If your company uses field tracking, you’ll get a Your shift is starting reminder at the start time of each of your working days. Days you don’t work, such as weekends, have no reminder.
App updates
- After an update, the dashboard may show What’s new in that version. Tap Got it to close it.
- When a newer version is out, you may see Update available. Tap Update now or Later.
- Open What’s new from the menu any time, and switch on Email me release updates if you’d like emails.
Sometimes an update is needed to keep working. You’ll see Update installHUB to keep working, even offline. Your work keeps sending: wait for All your work is sent, then tap Update now.
