Find your way around a job page

Available now on installHUB

Open any job from Jobs (app.installhub.com/admin/survey). This guide covers the tabs, the site address, form versions and job classification.

The tabs

Information holds the job’s forms and Products the products being installed. The other tabs:

  • Costings: the job’s prices, in Products to be installed, Labour, Additional items, Discounts, Grants and Deposits, with totals. These are the same figures as your company’s quote for the job. Change them and click Save. If the quote used a template, you’ll see Using Template: with its name. Costings become read-only once installers in your network have quoted on the job.
  • Documents: Generated and uploaded documents lists documents built from the job’s answers or uploaded, with View, Download, Regenerate and more. Available document types shows documents the forms can produce that don’t exist yet: complete the job information, or Upload your own. Under Custom documents, click Add document to attach any file, and tick Include in customer pack to send it with the customer pack.
  • Communications: every chat message, email and text with the customer. See Answer customer messages from the Messages inbox.
  • Notes: type under Write a note (up to 1,000 characters) and click Submit. Each note shows who wrote it and when. Notes can’t be edited or deleted. Your field operatives see them on the job in the mobile app.
  • History: events recorded automatically, such as status changes, with who and when.

Quotations appears when the job has quotes, and Sharing when you can share the job with your network. Documents and Notes are for admins and account managers.

Change the site address or site contact

  1. Choose Edit Job from the Action menu, or click the pencil beside the address at the top of the page.
  2. Under Site address, tick Use customer’s existing address as the site address, or untick it and search for the job’s address.
  3. Under Contact person details, tick Use customer’s details for the site contact person, or enter a First name, Last name, a Phone or Email, and the Contact type (Owner, Tenant, Landlord, Management company or Other).
  4. Click Save.

The job’s map location follows the new address. The customer’s own address doesn’t change.

Update a job to the latest form

When a newer version of one of the job’s forms is published, the Action menu offers Update to latest form (Update to latest forms if several are behind). The confirmation shows each form moving from one version to the next and warns that some data may be lost: answers to questions in both versions move across, and answers to questions the new version dropped are removed. Click Update form to go ahead. Questions the new version fills in automatically are only filled where the job has no answer yet, and never on a Completed job. You’ll see “The job has been updated to the latest form”.

Standard or non-standard installation

Each job can be classified as a Standard install or Non-standard install. The classification comes from the standard installation question on the job’s form, often answered by the customer on the enquiry form. A quote also carries a Job classification for this quote: when the customer accepts it, the job takes the quote’s classification.

To change it, use the Action menu: Set as standard install or Set as non-standard install, or once set, switch between them. Confirm with Change. The form’s answer is updated to match. You can filter and sort the job list by Job classification.
