Find any job, customer or setting from the search box at the top of every page, and get help without leaving the page.
Search from the top bar
- Click Search at the top of the page (on a small screen, the magnifying glass).
- Type at least three characters. Results appear as you type, grouped into Jobs, Customers, Clients, Quotations, Appointments, Invoices, Products and Settings.
- Click a chip above the results to look in one group only, or All to look everywhere.
- Click a result to open it, or press Esc to clear.
Each group shows its top three matches. For the full list, click See all … results at the bottom to open Search everything (https://app.installhub.com/admin/search). There, each group has its own tab and count.
You only see records your company can view, including shared jobs.
What you can search for
- Jobs: job reference (including references from an import), customer or company name, company email, address, installation type and job type.
- Customers: name, email, phone number, company name, address and client.
- Clients: name and address.
- Quotations: quote reference, job reference, customer name, status or amount.
- Appointments: the customer’s name, email or phone, the address or postcode, and the job or appointment type.
- Invoices: invoice number, payment reference, job reference, customer name or memo.
- Products: product name or code.
- Settings: a settings page’s name, or the name of a setting on it. Pages your plan doesn’t include show Not on your plan.
Where results take you
Jobs and customers open their page; a quote opens its preview. An appointment opens the scheduler on that day; if you can’t use the scheduler, the result says so. An invoice opens the job’s payments on the Invoices tab. A product opens your catalogue, filtered to your search.
Search tips
- References, phone numbers and email addresses must match exactly. Check 0 and O, 1 and I.
- Names allow for typos, so try the customer’s surname.
- Phone numbers work with or without the country code and spaces.
- A job or customer you’ve just added can take a few seconds to appear.
- Search everything lists your three most recently opened results under Recently viewed.
The User Guide panel
Click the book icon (User Guide) in the top bar, or More then User Guide on a smaller screen. The panel shows Useful articles for this page, lets you Browse categories and articles, and has its own Search. Some settings pages and dialogs also have a Guide link that opens the full guide in a new tab.
Help and Info
Click the question mark (Help and Info) for:
- Latest Updates: recent release notes.
- Live Chat: start a chat with installHUB support.
- Support Centre: opens in a new tab, to raise or follow a support request.
Knowledge base
The knowledge base of manufacturer manuals and documents is kept up to date by installHUB and lives in the mobile app, so field operatives have it on site.
Contact your account manager
If your company has more active users than your plan allows, users see Sorry, you have exceeded the number of users licences available, with the names, emails and phone numbers of your company’s Account Manager users. Account Managers go to Users (https://app.installhub.com/admin/users) instead, to make users inactive or change the Subscription Plan.
