Share jobs with installers in your network, and work jobs shared with you.
Share a job
- Open the job and choose Share with network.
- Pick installers from the list. It starts filtered to installers who cover the job’s postcode and installation type; switch the filters off to see everyone. Installers whose subscription has lapsed can’t be picked.
- Under What can the selected installers do with this job?, choose:
- Full access to everything: they can view and change most of the job.
- Read-only access to everything: they can view it but not change anything.
- Create and submit quotations: they can quote the customer. If the customer accepts a quote, the job moves to the installer who sent it.
- Book survey and install appointments: they can book visits, and their field operative works the job in the mobile app.
- Add a Note to the recipients if you like (up to 250 characters), then click Share with selected.
The job’s Sharing tab lists everyone it’s shared with. Use Revoke Access to take a share back. You can’t revoke while that installer has an appointment booked or a quote is with the customer.
Transfer a job
To hand a job over completely, choose Full access to everything, pick one installer and tick Transfer ownership of this job. The button changes to Transfer to selected. Afterwards your access becomes read-only and customer messages come from the new owner, with their branding. The job can only be transferred if it isn’t on hold or archived, has no field operative booked, has no quotes with the customer or awaiting installers, and hasn’t already been quoted by your company.
When a job is shared with you
- The Received jobs widget on your dashboard counts jobs shared with you by access type. Click a row to open those jobs.
- The job page shows a Shared Job panel with the access level, who shared it and their note.
- To quote, use Awaiting Quotation. Quotes you’ve sent are under Submitted Quotations.
- On a network quote you see a short postcode and no phone number or email. If the sharer allows it, Reveal customer details shows them, and the sharer can see in the job history that you did. If not, you get the full details once the customer accepts your quote.
Decline a shared job
Click Decline job on the Shared Job panel and give a reason. You lose access straight away and the sharer is emailed your reason. You can only decline jobs shared for quoting or for booking appointments. The button is disabled once you’ve submitted a quote, or while one of your field operatives has a visit booked: cancel or complete it first.
Emails you’ll get
- Job sent to you: when a job is transferred to your company.
- Job declined: when an installer declines a job you shared.
- Job outcome requires action: when a visit on one of your jobs ends with a follow-up or cancelled outcome. Choose who gets these in Settings > Email Notifications; until you set a list, all active users get them.
- Left your network or no longer part of the network: when an installer leaves your network, or you’re removed from one. You can no longer share jobs with each other.
